JMJ
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your prayers and checking the site for updates. I hope to be better at communicating over the next few months. It is the least I can do for all the prayers, Masses and sacrifices that you all have been doing for me and my family. We want you all to know that these mean so very much to us. We recognize and depend on the graces from them, and are awed and inspired by your generosity and gifts of self.
We have been busy recently with family coming to town to help with my mother's surgery (she's recovering beautifully - thank you for your prayers!), and we were blessed to "make some memories" in the process that included my daughter's bridal shower, a trip to EWTN, and to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Alabama, a Healing Mass, and a trip to Asheville with some of my sisters.
Since two of my sisters live out of state, we tried to make the most of our time together. Whether it was driving to the hospital to visit my mother, praying in the chapel while she was in surgery, visiting in the waiting rooms, we were blessed to spend some intense prayer time together. My family is known for "all nighters," but I think we have had to officially retire that tradition. We were able to make some great memories just sitting on the deck visiting and enjoying the warm weather, though.
I am getting tired more frequently and have used some of my "bed days" for spiritual reading, praying, and catching up on sleep. Thankfully up to this point I haven't had to spend too many days laying around... putting my feet up occasionally seems to be enough for most days so I am thankful for that. All in all I am still feeling pretty good, and look forward to future plans that include a few birthdays, Holy Week, Easter, Mercy Sunday, a few short trips, and a few more house guests!
Please know that you and your intentions will be in our prayers as we enter into the most sacred week of the year, Holy Week. May you and your families truly enjoy the real meaning of Easter.
Thy Will Be Done!
